When you say nappy, do you mean like 'emo' kid hair?
If so, all you have to do is spray your hair with hairspray. A LOT of it. Then straighten it up. Like, pick a piece of hair up completely straight and straighten it. Then tease your hair.
Or, just take some gel and run in through your hair like a basket case. Both look nappy to me.

yes just go natural and go without gettin a perm and your hair will become nappy or a afro as long as you leave out the chemicals
